Properties in Shah Alam.

According to Wikipedia - Shah Alam measures about 25 kilometres (15 mi) west of the country's capital, Kuala Lumpur. In 1978, it replaced Kuala Lumpur as the capital city of the state of Selangor due to Kuala Lumpur's incorporation into a Federal Territory in 1974. Shah Alam was the first planned city in Malaysia after independence in 1957.

The city has a number of shopping malls (Plaza Alam Sentral, (also known as PAS), SACC Mall, Plaza Shah Alam (formerly known as Shah Alam Mall, also known as Plaza Masalam), Ole-Ole Seksyen 18 and Kompleks PKNS) and it has many schools, shops, banks, eateries, cafes, hotels, medical centres, clinics, large hypermarkets (notably Tesco, Giant and Tesco Extra) and recreational areas.

Shah Alam region - constantly widening its reach.

There has been so many new township developments that has sprung up in the Shah Alam region. Since the completion of the KESAS highway to compliment the NKVE highway - various new townships, such as the Setia series (Setia Eco Park and Setia Alam), Bukit Jelutong, Kota Kemuning, Bukit Rimau, Glenmarie, TTDI Jaya and so many others have came along. The sharp rise of property prices in Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur have driven the demand upwards in the Shah Alam area. More and more of the population are looking at the Shah Alam region for property investments as these are the properties that are still priced competitively.

Setia Eco Park - a boutique township development.

Looking forward, there is a major growth of student population in Shah Alam. Currently, there are so many different educational institutions in the area - including the UiTM Shah Alam main campus, its branch campuses such as Puncak Alam and Puncak Perdana (both minutes away from the Shah Alam city centre), PTPL and the new MSU institution in Section 13, the Politeknik Shah Alam in TTDI Jaya as well as the Universiti Industri Selangor in Section 7.

With the growth in property demand within the Shah Alam vicinity - and the continuous rising prices in building material prices and labour, annual inflations and increasingly better rental yields, Shah Alam is becoming the next best location to invest in. In fact, if you can find a good property in Shah Alam, just snap it up right away. You know that you've made the right choice.
